Sorry, forgot to say I use sony vegas pro 9

Hi
I recently shot a music video in 1080i (pal) hdv. I want to put a copy of it on youtube. I want to keep as much of the quality as I can. I'd like to know what are the best project settings, and what is the best format and settings for rendering? Specifically for youtube.
Thanks
Paul

I would use the HDV 1080 template. The files size is big but you will keep the quality.
That is the rendering settings. Choose main-concept mpeg with the HDV 1080 50i template. You might want to change the 50i setting to 25p to do this just choose the field order to "none progressive scan".

thanks a lot for the valuable video tutorial . learned a lot of information from it.... keep it up..
Download HD YouTube Videos
For my Youtube Shoutcast production I'm recording the video first with either 25 or 29.97 fps (since the Sony AVC exporter doesn't support 30 fps, only the 30% slower Main Concept exporter does). For short videos I certainly use 30 fps + Main Concept export. Since Sony Vegas uses the YUV colour range to export - which results into a way too contrastful video at youtube - I'm going to apply a -0.13 contrast correction on the video bus track. Youtube 720p HD videos have a bitrate of 2000 Kbit/s, 1080s vids 4000 Kbit/s. For my hours long 720p shoutcasts 4000 Kbit/s export settings are hence going to work fine enough. The youtube audio quality is 96 Kbit/s AAC for 360p and 480p and 128 Kbit/s AAC for 720p and 1080p, hence 160 Kbit/s is going to work just fine for the export.
That's how the Sony AVC export looks like at youtube without contrast correction:
And that's how it looks like how it should be (with contrast correction):
Cheers

this is too good but dud i need some thing new when we see video in this video see some text and we like to get some website link as more information about this videos in short i need in "video text hyper link'' but how should i do no idea can any one help me ..???
I use Vegas Studio 10 which appears to have a "YouTube" posting facilty, so all these file-formats are by-passed (er, I assume!)....will I hit a 10-minute limit (whenever I manage to create something longer?)
+ Perhaps someone could give me a blow-by-blow description of setting-up an account on said YouTube, so I may post a few vids.
Whilst it is popular, why has no-one else set up an alternative? - perhaps with better indexing, as I don't get straight to the stuff I want (usually Tutorials on VegasS).
What about quality control? - if it isn't good enough does YouTube delete it?
How can I exercise the Editor's knife, should my posting need a trim/addition?
