Berlin, 3 April, 2006: New MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 5.0 is perfectly suited to handle all your burnable film material, regardless whether it's from DVD, VHS, camcorder or the Internet. Quickly and easily create legal, analog backup copies of copy-protected movies on DVD. The program from the market leader for photo, video and audio software(1) is available in retail stores from the mid of March for £29.99.

Whether from VHS, camcorder or copy-protected DVD, you can now burn your movies onto suitable blank discs in one go: Simply attach the device to your PC, select everything in the recording dialog, and MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 5.0 takes care of the rest. The program records on your PC, splits movies into chapters, creates DVD menus and burns. Recording the software from DVB-T/S cards is just as easy. Each channel can be pre-programmed via the integrated TV/video recorder simply by clicking on the entry in the TV program guide. It can then be viewed with a time delay while recording, in the so-called "Timeshift" mode. The ability to burn double-layer DVDs now enables archiving up to twelve hours of movies or TV shows in VHS quality. Furthermore, MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 5.0 can create 1:1 and 9:5 backup copies of non-copy-protected DVDs. Easy-to-use editing tools in new MAGIX Smart Design, for example, the automatic Ad-killer or the new quick optimization tools, guarantee the best quality for your homemade DVDs and SVCDs. The very latest home videos can now be viewed not only at home, but also online: Upload your personal movies to your very own free MAGIX Online Photo & Video Album website.
