Finished Movie has gaps

Hi

I have Pinnacle 7. The problem is everything works fine. It's just the finished product after I have put the edited film back on to tape has black gaps in it, every 20-30 secsonds and they last about 1 sec... very annoying.. A lot of work only to end up with a poor finish.

can anyone help

Which version of Studio 7 are you using?

I'm not sure what you mean by dedicated card. I export the finished film back on to my camcorder via firewire I-link.

The latest patch for Studio 7 is 7.15.1c. So that doesn't seem te be your problem.

Could it be that rendering is not fast enough for the tape? Is it possible in Studio 7 to make an AVI file first. Then place this avi file on the timeline of a new project and export to tape. It saves a lot of rendering time during copying to the tape.

Do you render your material first, before exporting to Firewire? It would be a good idea to do so (get some strain away from the CPU).
