Default Dropped Frames

Hi

I am using liquid 6 on a 3.2Ghz processor and 1 gb ram.
When capturing in firewire I sometimes get second chunks missing in places. This normally happens when capturing in long clips of t he same continous shot.

There are no error messages during capture and I only come across the problem while editing.

I am capturing to external firewire drives which do have a fast enough transfer rate. Also the problem is not onn the tapes as I have checked them many times.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what coiuld be causing this?

Thanks

Nick

Dropped frames are normally caused by fragmented files and/or harddrives reaching their capacity. I would suggest you defrag and deleted any unnecessary files.

I would also suggest capturing shorter clips.

Thanks for the reply.

I defragged the drive and so far so good!
