I have no problems when I capture DV from my Sony Handicam HC40 to Pinnacle 9. I. After editing and burning the movie to disk on play back the movie sops and starts and the audio is out of sink.
It looks to me like you need to tune up your computer a little bit (assuming you do have a reasonable spec, like 2 GHz/512 DDR). So defrag you hard drives, scan it for errors, turn off all unnecessary programs and processes, turn off Windows visual themes etc. Also, try burning your disks at lower speeds (like 4x).
