Default Capture Problem to external hard drive

Trying to capture to external hard drive (Lacie 250GB USB2)
Pinnacle studio plus

Message "Sorry can'not capture. The data rate on drive I (external drive)
is less than the required rate of 4213Kbytes/second

Have formatted to NTFS but still not able to capture.

I have saved some large avi files to external drive (15GB+) but the transfer rate is quite slow.

Any thoughts on how to save direct to external ?

you're using usb2, right? I know that the device is usb2, but are your drivers?

you need either sp1 or the hotfix to use usb2 speeds.

Get sisoft sandra and benchmark the drive. it SHOULD be able to sustain more than that.

I only saw the end of that foreign legion show, but it looks mental. It's still be preferable to spending a day with those big brother freaks.
