Thread: Difficulties editing with Studio Ultimate v14

I find editing extremely frustrating, I bought this because it can edit the .MTS files from my camera. I have had no experience of editing before except with Windows Movie maker. Now my problems are, first of all I put a few clips together to edit, I changed the start and end points ok but then found I was getting black segments in the edited clips. Couldn't fix it so I started again, same thing so I scrapped that idea. Now I have a 14 min single clip that I want to edit. All I want to do is cut out unwanted sections but I can't find a way of doing it, I have 2 markers which I can put wherever I want so how can I cut out the segment between the markers? This must be so obvious but I can't do it. I've spent more than 6 hours trying to edit just the first 3 mins.

Are you using the razer tool to cut the clips ?
