Thread: it's dropping my frames...help

I'm using a canon optura 500, I transfer my video using usb, while transferring my mini dv tape footage I notice that my video gets choppy and my frames are dropping rapidly.
In a 60 minute tape I lost 31,356 frames.
Pls help me how can I avoid this problem?
