Lloyd: I have been waiting for some time to purchase a new system. My editor of choice for that was to be Liquid Edition based on what I had used so far, Studio 8. I figured it, LE would be so much better. Along with everything else I need to think about, now that this App. may be altered or? Would you go ahead and buy LE Pro or wait knowing what you know now? Side note where can I get specs for an LE based unit, that won’t disappoint? Thank you for your time

Whatever happens in the distant future with the product line Liquid Edition is ahead of its time in terms of a video editing suite. It will be quite some time before any other suite has the same range of features and can match anything like its performance without having to add expensive hardware into the equation.

Avid are saying they will continue to develop the Liquid line and I suspect that as this was a statement to the market (i.e. their investors) it bears truth. My advice is if you are looking for a highly capable editing suite for now then you won't go far wrong with Liquid Edition.

Pinnacle list the minimum and then the recommended system requirements on their web site.

Best of luck with your choice and keep us posted.
