Default Slideshow into timeline

Hi. I'm using Studio 10 and I'm confused about how you get a slideshow into the timeline. I have created the slideshow with all of the transitions, soundtrack, etc, but it is an stx file format, which I don't seem to be able to import into the timeline. In it's current form all of the menus to add chapter flags and return to menu flags are inactive, so I get the impression it needs to be converted to some other "timeline friendly" format. Is that correct?
