Default Pinnacle 8 and dvd quality

First of all please let me appologise for raising this question. The same question has been raised in different ways in the past. However, I have tried to understand the responses but to no avail. :(

I have a DV camera with a firewire link to my laptop (3.06 GH 120Gb disk 128mb graphics and 512 mb RAM and an inbuilt DVD writer -RW).
I capture video from a camcorder at DVD quality and burn ito my DVD drive (8mb/s).
Although the DVD quality appears quite good, the length of film I can record is limited to around 60n minutes.
What do I need to add to my system to record upto 120 minutes but still retain the quality ?
