Mpeg4??

When i try to open a movie in Studio 9, I get a messege that reads: "The video file "D:\...\movie01.avi" could not be opened. Studio does not suport the MPEG4 video file format"

I promised a friend that i would do some edditing on his movie, but since i canot open it I am stuck...

Enybody know what i can do??
