hi there can anyone help me?
i have a recorded video footage on my canon xh-a1 camcorder as hdv and i'm trying to capture it to pinnacle , do i capture it as dv then burn as hd? or should i have an hd option?
i'm capturing via firewire also.
was thinking of updating to v10.8 but not sure if its a good idea!!
any help would be appreciated ....

I do suggest you go for the latest update OR "cut your losses" and upgrade to Studio 11+. I think that you need to have Studio 10.7 at least for HD.

i have captured in dv mode then burnt as hd and it is hd up res as it is flickering on a normal dvd player but has a real good picture when viewed through xbox 360..
when you upgrade it says to complete any projects i have 3 on the go here,will they not open if i upgrade?
also do you know how to create motion menus i'm a bit stuck...

The "captured" files should be read by Studio 11+. I think there is a problem reading part edited project files so you may have to restart the projects from the original captured files.
Can't help on motion menus. I think that there are tutorials on the Pinnacle website. Also try the forum on the same site.
