horizontal line, studio 10.7

i am using the pinnacle dazzle platinum, studio 7.

when i plug in the cables from my cannon optura (circa. '9

camera, i get a horizontal line about 4/5ths of the way down the screen.

when i capture video (from head shots) the top of the subject's head reappears below this horizontal line.

any ideas what is going on and how to correct/eliminate? thanx.
