Default Dv500 Dvd Vs Dv500

Can any one help please...

have just aquired an alledged DV500 DVD but it has come with a blue break out box (no 1394 port) the card does not have an 3.5 audio (between 1394 and special socket)

the pcb has following numbers

3902b202

bar code 203560523814223384

DV500 rev 5.1 51010044

is ther any difference in hardware (PCB) issues or is it all just in the software???

That's a Pinnacle capture system. No, there is not real difference between the DV500 and the later version dv-dvd500. While there may be a very slight difference in the hardware it is mostly software and then mostly just a name change to market the ability to work with DVD files. The breakout box doesn't have the firewire but the board has it on the back.

I hope you got the software that comes with it. I think you can still get the software package on the web site somewhere. I have it somewhere too so if you get stuck I'll find a way you can download it.
