Default Can't keep 16:9 ratio when making Pinnacle 9 movie

This is driving me nuts. I created a project where I shot video in 16:9. I then edited the project in 16:9. I see the proper ratio in the upper right hand preview pain. When I go to "make move" and create the .avi file i am forced to accept 4:3 dimensions. If I try to change the height and width of the film I get either 4:3 or a movie that is really tall. Any suggestions on how to keep my formatting once I make my movie?

thx

I think, It's because your either using Pinnacle 9 or because AVI doesn't have 16:9. I haven't used AVI, just MPEG and iPod Compat, However, looking at AVI, I don't see a widescreen, 16:9 option in presets...

sorry I can't be of more help

Hmmm...that could be it. Thanks. I'll try to make it MPEG and see what happens.
