 News: Avid Bundles Liquid 7.1 with JVC ProHD Cam
August 16, 2006 - Avid and JVC Professional Europe have partnered for a limited time offer to ship Avid Liquid 7.1 with any purchases of the JVC GY-HD110E and GY-HD111E camcorders. This offer is only being extended to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Avid Liquid, as broadcastbuyer.tv reports, is the only editing software that work natively with 720p/24 and 720p/25 from ProHD camcorders. Other popular editing professional software, such as EDIUS and Final Cut Pro, all work with some variation on these formats and frame rates, but not all of them. The Avid Liquid software lists for 459 euros (about US$584) on its own. The JVC GY-HD110E bundled with the software will retail for 5995 euros (about US$7636) and the GY-HD111E for 6495 euros (about US$8273). The offer runs now through September 30th.
