Just found this Free Video Recorder you can download your favorite videos from Youtube or ware ever, and burn them straight to DVD. All formats supported. Well worth a look I have tried it and it works.

Free Video converter. This must be the most useful easy to use freebie tool I have ever used from the net. Converts all formats of Video files from the net or your hard drive to any format you want. Just paste a URL and burn to DVD. It will even join parts of videos together so you end up with a complete video instead of in bits. No more headaches over formats not working.

When you download the programme there is an anti spyware programme with it, you don't have to have this just don't select the option. It puts a button on your tool bar. So if you want to down load a video click on the button it opens the programme and auto inserts the URL. Then the choice is all yours. Its excellent! Have fun!

I see there is a new version August 2012, so I may wait until that's been in operation for a while....but it looks like what I may need.
