Dear filmmakers,

It’s time again! We are glad to tell you that the Ohne Kohle VideoFilmfestival for „No and Low Budget“films will take place the fourth time this year.
Our goal is to give independent, financially weak filmmakers the possibility to present their work within an enjoyable atmosphere and position the independent video scene with its great creative output as an alternative and enrichment to mainstream cinema.
This year we want to focus particulary on linking the filmmakers with each other and thereby create permanent structurs for the independent scene.

You can send us your films until 31st of march. Of course there is no fee for handing them in. The categories are:

1) short fiction (>15min)
2) experimental (video-/filmart)
3) animation
4) longplayer (<15min)
5) documentary (without length limit)


Watch out: Ohne Kohle awards this year, so that filmmaking never comes to an end.

Could you tell us a bit more about the festival? Where is it located and when it is being held, for example?

Good to see a documentary section - my area of interest. I must get my finger out and make something worthy of a competition such as this.

Again from
19th to 21st July 2007 an exciting program of „no and low budget“ films is awaiting all filmmakers and cineasts. As in the last years the main locations will be the Wiener Filmcasino and the Neutor Medienraum. We are still working on the detailed programm, for which we also need your help! In addition to the events that are already well known from the past years, there will also be some new highlights this year: every third sunday of the month Ohne Kohle will show you under the title „Ciné Soupe“ thematically and regional arranged movies. Ciné Soupe will not only pamper your eyes and ears. For the first time the team members will rattle the pots and pans to please all gourmets with culinary deliciousness. The first Ciné Soupe takes place on february 18th and offers you french short-films and onion soup. Bon appétit!
