I saw your video called "smoke test" how did you make the smoke? Was it particles in a CG program like blender or was it stock footage, or something else entirely.

yeah it was particles, which were keyframed to points (thumb, fingers and mouth), and repeled from my waving right hand. for some reason the vid cut out early, so you only just see the begining of the fanned smoke

I used motion, and my webcam

Which cg program? Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, XSI? (I know nothing about any of the programs except blender, I don't even know if XSI uses particles.) It reminds me of a test Colin Levy did (a famous blender-head): http://www.peerlessproductions.com/v...MagicTrick.mov

EDIT: Is motion a CG program? did you make the particles in that? Is it even a program. I am unfamiliar with it. What do you mean by "I used motion and my webcam"?

and just used my webcam because it was indeed a test also (and i'm too lazy to set up a proper camera for testing stuff out unless it really needs it), for a music promo I'm producing.

I see. I am not familiar with motion (or rather, I was not familiar with motion) . I know about final cut, but not motion. When you first said it, I thought it was a tracking program like icarus.
