Ideas for documentary films that focus on issues of social justice, human rights and democracy in Britain today between 60 and 90 minutes long, to be shot on any format and in any genre.

Hmm, this popped into my in box a month back off one of the lists I am on. That isnt a great deal of cash for a 'broadcast quality' piece of finished documentary / journalism and it really isonly pitchable from experienced teams, but i am sure it will result in something worthy if not a money maker for those involved.

This is the sort of thing i hope to pitch for after I finish my MA and get some less ambitious projects finished.

I was suprised to see just how much funding is around for Video and british cinema production. I was looking at doing a short, which I think is around 4K to 10K, I guess the money is worth it depending on how you would work, if you are talking two days work - one shot day, one edit day them its a good

I dont think you really grasp what making a film means. That money has to be pitched for, with a story outline, a story board, production cost estimates... and loads more. A show reel of previous films helps too.

That money is for REAL films, not one day made up as you learn you tube disasters.
