Part of the reason why British TV has deteriorated over the last several years is down to this exact scenario. Ther are so many companies out there trying to cut corners by offering jobs with stupidly low wage packets. Even if the salary on this ofer was £22k for the job it is it's still rediculous! For the Job of that versatility one should expect a minimum of £28k. Instead there has been a flood of talent (i prefer to call sub standard talent) that is just not up to scratch. Therefore production standards have dropped nationwide. TV and video production is becomming like webdesign did 3-4 years ago. Once affordable software came into play anyman and his dog jumped on the bandwagon. Only now is the web starting to recover from this. TV & Video being more of a complex production procedure wont be let off so easily!
The point? If you wanna hire someone to do a job - pay them what they deserve!
