Default Newbie wanting to build PC for Avid Liquid/Xpress DV

Hi everyone,

I'm building a budget-level PC for video editing using Avid Liquid or Avid Xpress DV and would like some advice.

I've been looking through these forums for a while now and have come up with a list of components I think will be up to it but as I have had no experience in building PCs for anything other than gaming, I'm not sure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

If this is budget-level... I'll go slid under my rock.

It looks like great specs to me, but you could save some money from the video card and get a better CPU.

I only called it budget level because almost the entire computer [minus case, keyboard, mouse, 2nd HDD, cooling fans etc....] is going to cost just a bit more than one of graphics cards Avid recommends on their site.
