Default PC---Mac, I spinks I got a problem!!

Hey Guys,

Right now I do practically everything on my Powerbook G4, edit, photoshop, and capture. It's a pain now, and I've started looking into a Desktop Unit.

Now I would like to build a custom system, but since I use "Final Cut Express" and that is a MAC appliaction, it would seem better if I went out and bought a G5. That does sound good, but I would really like to build a custom unit, as I know people and I could get a pretty good deal on one.

So, is there anyway Premier Pro and Final Cut work together?

Maybe the new intel macs will allow xp and tiger or whatever to work. That might be the answer to your prayers, assuming the power pc compiled stuff will run on the new macs, which it probably wont, so, err, ummm......

Avid works on both systems.

Maybe you could transfer projects and captured files across from PC to mac and open it to find all your edits in place.

Maybe someone here who knows more about avid can add more info.

Maybe
