Default good sub-£1000 system??

This is not just the first editing system I've bought, but the first PC as well, so any feedback would be appreciated!!

AMD Athlon XP 2600+CPU (333MHZ)
512MB PC2700 DDR Memory (333MHZ)
120GB 7200RPM +8MB Buffer HDD
Sony 16X DVD Rom Drive, Sony DVD Rewritable
128MB DDR Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 Graphics Card
17" TFT Analogue Monitor +Logitech Keyboard, Mouse
5.1 Surround Sound and 6 Channel Audio

I'm looking to edit DV on Pinnacle Liquid (which includes Firewire Card +Cable).

Cheers
