Default Optimizing for Premier Elements using XP

I have a Dell XPS 400 with a 3.0 duel core Pentium 4 with 2 gigs of Ram and a NVIDIA Gforce video card. I am running XP Professional and wanting to optimize for best video editing performance using Premier Elements. I am currently have trouble burning DVD's and I am getting errors like "transcoding errors and Visual Basic C++ errors. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

Your PC specs are well capable of running Elements. I've read on other forums that burning DVDs in Elements can be a bit suspect. Are you running Elements 1.0 or 2.0?

You could also try exporting your file and using other software to author your DVD.
