Default mac G4???????Need answers

Well I think im going to be switchin over to macs now..I am currently using a pc for video editing but i want to start using final cut pro..Will a power mac G4 be good enough for final cut pro with all the rendering?I was thinkin of gettin a G4 with a processing speed of 1.3 or higher an 1gig of ram..Will this be good enough to run final cut pro smoothly or will i need to go wit the new G5's??Please help! Thanks

Yeah a powermac G4 would be good, but the computer is getting old now. I would dish out the extra money and get a powermac g5. Either that, or wait until Apple releases the pentium Macs and buy a powermac with the lowered price. GD, i like answering the mac questions.

when are the pentium macs coming out??Where can i get info on those?Are they gonna be better then the G5's?
