AMD X2's are better at juggling.

it's up to you. i just know that dual core is the thing of the future, and more and more applications will be optimized for it so i decided to go AMD dual core.
of course, i already have a P4 chip on my everyday PC (2.4 gig). figured might as well have one of each. |
Rendering programs use multiple cores though... so you get a benefit for using dual cores.
After quite a bit of review, it seems like if you're going to buy a video-editing card, go with intel. If not, go with AMD.
I tried really hard to find a system that I could get with a video-editing card that was halfway cheap, but I couldn't do it... so I've got an Opteron 165 on the way with all sorts of goodies along with it.
