I dont no i read it in some review as im thinking of buying a 300G drive..dnt think i plucked it from thin air...i will have a look and see!

Do you think that they'll start including an external sata port on laptops? Or could they have a PCMCIA card which has a sata port?

Avoid usb2 drives. I have edited off both and the usb is clunky, but it does wk, my f wire drive benchmarks as fast as my internal drives.

Also dont buy a complete drive in a case, they are a rip off. Instead buy a firewire box off e bay and put your own drive in it, this is about 60% of the price and you can spec it exactly how you want.

Also remember big 3.5 inch drives are not meant to be carted around so treat the drive with respect. Laptop 2.5 inch drives are likely to survive a portable life better.
