Default i hope my spec is ok....

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the spec in my sig, is ok for dv to dvd editing... on a semi pro basis.

Wow! I'm not sure you even needed to ask that question!

It looks very good, and I only have one suggestion: If your motheroard supports it, you could get another 250gb hard drive and try RAID 0 with the two 250gb drives to increase the speed. But that is only minor, and you don't really need it.

Oh and by the way, I edit on a celeron 2.2ghz (slow :( ) but it works fine.

Thanks for that, im a web developer so i know about pc's but i got this one for my dad who is making the jump from tape to digital.

just wanna make sure the spec is up to the task, he uses three sony 3ccd dv camera's, so i think it should be a fairly good change.

apart from the new skills he will have to learn, he has been editing tape for 15 years, he knows its a big change but im sure its going to make his work easier.

P.S. i installed the matrox and a load of software last night....
Jesus its quick, was tempted to give him my 2.2 dell and keep it myself.
