Default if i improve this of my system will rendering speed improve?

i got a Athlon 3200+
1.5GB DDR333
7200RPM Harddrive
I have a Radeon 9700 128mb


If I improve the video card to a Radeon X700 256MB any improvements to rendering?

gfx cards really play a minimal part in performance on a machine unless you are using after effects which relys heavily on the open GL engine of cards.

It will give some extra umph but not much - u'd be far better off getting more ram and bigger cpu.
