Marc: good stuff. In fact, bless her, she does work - has worked for the last several years, washing up and being third chef at a local bistro. She generally works both days at the weekend, and a couple of evening shifts. During the holidays, she works some day shifts there as well - and is, I understand, guaranteed her old job when she comes back for the Christmas break. She knows that we will pay for the basics - tuition fees, lodging, food, books - but anything else, she pays for - drinks, going out etc. Like you, I went to university 'for free' and it breaks my heart to see kids coming out of college with huge debts. I don't want that to happen to her and, whingeing aside, I'm lucky I can afford to pay for her (the result, strangely, of me starting an insurance policy for £9 per quarter when I started college 34 years ago. It's now worth a large part of £30k...) I think she's responsible (her work ethic demonstrates that) and I trust her. As to whether it will really cost me all of the £15k, I don't know: tuition fees are £1,200/year, 'battels' are £800/term - so that's £3,500/year straightaway - and battels doesn't pay for three meals/day nor any meals at weekends. And then there's books, clothes. So I'll just wait till those big screen LCD TVs come plummeting down in price which, by all accounts, they're about to...

Kudos to her for working. Now if only my studying hadn't been so lackadaisical. I've always found it a strugle to complete projects, which is why i have so many "things to do". I tend to start one thing before finishing another...

Nonsense.

You'll find the right guy sometime not too long in the future, I'm sure!

Is there a big difference between 1 & 2 Gigs ram? I'm kinda partial to utilizing 3 hard drives in a video editing pc.
