Default Previe HD video from Sony HD FX1 directly on laptop screen?

Hi Guys,

Im new here, and am hoping someone can assist me.

I would like to view HD video from a HD FX1 camcorder on a laptop, without actually having to transfer it all first. I guess Im trying to view the HD video on the fly as it is transported to the laptop. Is this possible using a component converter or some software?

I need to preview what I have recorded on the laptop before making certain decisions, to check the quality of video and sound, but I dont want to have to sit and wait while its fully transferred into a program like VEGAS.

Can someone please assist me in this matter?

Thanks you
