Thread: Advice on my Setup ?

The setup I have now was bought to play the newest games and a high resolution, but alas the Video Editing world sucked me back in .... *again* !

So my point is, how do you think my rig will do at Video Editing considering it was orginally intended for gaming ??
Some stuff might be Irrelenvent, but I'll leave it in anyway, prehaps it makes a difference ?

Case : Cooler Master CM 690 II
Processor : Intel i5 (OC @ 4.8ghz)
Graphics : Nvidia ASUS GTX 560 Ti
Cooling : 3 x 120mm fans, Arctic Cooler Freezer 13
Power Supply : Corsair 600w
HDD : 1TB Seagate Barracuda
Motherboard : P8Z68 - V LX
RAM : Corsair 4GB (2 x 2GB)

I think it will do the job ok. You might want to get a second internal hard drive to keep the media on.

Hmmm, any Ideas on what kind of size ?

I believe the ideal size is 500Gb this seems to be the best compromise between size and speed, I've no idea about which make to go for but go for as fast as is possible 7200 rpm seems to be the standard these days 10,000rpm would be better bigger buffer sizes might also help but I'm not a real techy so I'm not sure.
