Which of them is more suitable for video editing (and maybe there is something unnecessary in them)?

The second one has matte display and also I can add thermal paste and has warranty aswell, but MSI simply has better image for me...

You'll get much better performance from a laptop if you've got a second HDD to store the video. I think that pcspecialist laptop can be configured to have a second laptop. And you can have a third instead of the optical drive. If you don't fancy dong this yourself, go wit pcspecialist.

May I encourage you to try scan.co.uk, I''ve got one of their laptop systems and I'm extremely happy with it.

Sounds like the same one I got my eye on - for $1395 Australian - does yours have USB3 ? That is the 'new biggy' for external drive speeds etc.

The second one has 2x2.0 and 2x3.0. MSI probably doesn't. It seems, that in England the deals aren't cheapest... However, hard to find any company that ships their products from USA or Australia.

BTW on that Asus the 5400rpm HDD looks the weakest point. But those 16GB looks really tasty

Hmm you got me thinking, but I don't see the HDD speed in my spec, but the website states the following available

I know it sounds better, but couldn't find big difference. Just RAM limited upto 16GB and and no XP mode.

OP, if you are having a PC build, the comments re USB3 are valid and having more-cores and Muitthreading is good too (but needs suitable software, I believe)...also I think ASUS /NVIDEA does graphics cards (NOT Integrated graphics), However, for serious editing I think you should think about a Desktop - so much easier to modify.

I think a 750G HDD is somewhat small, however Posts #2 and #4 really set the alternatives. 2Tb drives are under £100.
A small additional feature you "may need" is a Firewire connection...again, this is unusual on modern PC's, but a PCI-card is under £10 and will give you a 4-wire and 6-wire socket which can connect with tape-based digital camcorders.
