Default High spec PC based video editing system

Hi

I would like to know people's feedback on a video editing system that I have come across.

http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/gimme...itfire_system3

Has anyone else bought from Creative Video?

It looks like the system for me, what are anyone else's thoughts?

Cheers

I would say how do you expect us to know if its the system for you?

It's certainly high spec, and if you think its the system for you I would say it must be, you know what u want it for where as I don't have a clue.

It will just about do anything, its very high spec in every way.

As OnTheWay suggests, it's overkill for most of us on the forums, and I certainly wouldn't pay 7.5k on a PC. I'd also stress that these type of "high end" PCs have a siginificantly larger markup than run if the mill setups. Infact whereas it can work out cheaper to buy a ready built machine than a self build (factoring in support et al), it's almost always the case that any PC over, say £2.5k+ could probably be built a lot cheaper.

Ye gods! Put it like this: if you're the kind of guy who buys an X5 for your wife to do the school run in, this is definitely the system you need for editing your holiday videos...

TBH Not wishing to Shame and Name, but creative video are a bit of a pain. I had problems with a friends machine that he bought form them when the mobo went west. It took a lot of hassle and 2 drives from London to Birmimgham to sort it out. Even then the mobo was a second hand one that was put in.

Even Alienware look positively good value

Seriously though, if you want to spend £££££ on a computer, go to www.alienware.co.uk - they are a little overpriced, but they look really really nice

In fact, looking at that, you can get a decent reliable system of a similar spec (3GB instead of 4), but still, it would cost around £4000!

No.

It's a computer. Not an aeroplane.
