Default Best Card for Video Editing

I recently completed the assembly and setup of my digital video PC. I was wondering if anyone with video editing experience could give some advice on which card to purchase. right now I just have a cheap PCI graphics card until I decide which way I want to go. I have been waiting on ATI to come out with their next version of the ATI All in Wonder PCI Express. I imagine it will be called the All in Wonder X850 with DDR 3 but who knows. Anyway I have been doing some research on real time rendering cards such as the Matrox and Canopus. I have a 3.4 Ghz P4 650 Prescott. Would it be worth it to get a real-time rendering card over something like the ATI All in wonder or can I get as good of results with either configuration. This is my current system specs:

Asus P5AD2-E Premium with PCI-e
Intel P4 650 3.4Ghz Prescott with 2M/L2 Cache
Corsair DDR2 1G
Maxtor Boot drive with 8M/Cache
3 Western Digital Raptors configured in RAID 0 for Video Editing Drives
Sony DL Burner
Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum

Sony HDR-FX1 HDV Camcorder

Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7 w/HD Plug-In
Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4 w/Extra Content

Thanks for any advice
