I haven't a clue - other than to say Vegas is about all that's on there and I defrag often. I don't download lots of crap from the interwebby and generally keep it 'clean'. Don't get me wrong - it'll get choppy if I start stacking up effects or track motions - but otherwise it's bloody brilliant.

Too many people treat their PC's like their cars - no maintenance from ones years end to the next and filling it full of crap. I don't, that's all.

Statement 1. "Black is white"
Statement 2. "As I understand it, Black is white"

Spot the difference?

Please don't post statements of type 1 (ie posting something as FACT) unless you're 100% sure of it.

If it's simply your belief or you're not 100% sure, then please make that clear as in statement 2. This makes the post much a more useful contribution.

That's all Andy is saying.
I'll keep that in mind

I have just purchased an

AMD athlon dual core 7850
4 gigg ram
500 gig HDD, plus I will have 3 others 500,250, 300
Geforce 8100 intergrated graphics card, dual monitor support upto 1gig of ram
I have just bought a Nividia 8500 512mb graphics card to add in instead.

running on xp but someone said xp wont recognise 4gigg of ram so I must use vista instead.

Can someone confirm if this pc spec will improve my rendering, and give good real time editing also whether this is tru regarding XP and vista.

See my post in response to your other thread. The limitation on memory recognised is nothing to do with XP or Vista, it's to do with whether you're running a 32bit or 64bit version of the OS. If you're not sure, you're running 32bit.

And the limitation is not that significant. I'm running 32 bit XP and my 4GB system recognises 3.5GB RAM.

EDIT: Hadn't realised Nikosony has already covered this in yet another thread
