Easily, an Ultra-ATA/100 drive has a nominal bandwidth of 100 MByte/sec. I guess you are capturing over a firewire interface which only has a nominal bandwidth of 400 Mb/s (that's bits, not bytes).

Therefore you will not be limited by the disks bandwidth.

Yes it is ATA100 - i plan to do it on a Dell inspiron 9000 notebook in the future but not now, just looking at what my future needs might be.
