Default Apple or PC, Final Cut or Adobe Premier
If you were starting from scratch, and parking the budget issue for the moment, would you get a more professional project using PC plus Premier Pro or using a Apple G5 and Final Cut Pro and why.

Can anyone sum this up for me?

If money is no problem and you only pan on doing video editing, the G5 is ur beast of choice
