i was thinking along the lines that if he ever upgrades to a dual channel motherboard...

He does have a point. I'm going to be upgrading my mobo around December.

I'm an nVidia hater...had some issues building my first PC with a GeForce 4....then I RMA'd it to get another defective one...

Because of that, the mobo I get will definitely be a VIA chipset. KT600 wouldn't be enough of an upgrade, so I would get a KT880, which has dual channel RAM...

Do you suggest that I get something different for my dual channel board? Maybe two 256MB sticks?
