Default What's better than 1 CPU?

Tyan Tiger MPX with modded Dual Athlon XP 1800+'s

Hi everyone, nice to see this forum. Hope I can be of assistance.

Tyan Tiger MPX with modded Dual Athlon XP 1800+'s
1 Gb of 'all the trimmings DDR SDRAM
1x Maxtor 7200RPM ATA133 30Gb HDD
2x Seagate Barracuda IV 7200RPM 80Gb HDD
1x Seagate 10 000RPM 38Gb SCSI HDD
Yamaha DSP Factory
Windows XP Prof Corp
Asus Radeon 9600XT (soon to be 9800 AIW hopefully)
Avid Xpress DV 3.0
All housed in a sexy Lian Li PC60

Not the greatest setup by a long way but it does a smooth enough job for me. You'll notice there's no capture card in there. I was using some Pinnacle consumer device to capture composite bit the A/D's on that thing were diabolical. Do most DV capture at college then RAR up and burn to CD - NIGHTMARE! So yeah I'm looking for a Firewire card to use a s a DV control device, something cheap and supported by AVID. Any recomendations?

For now, any old, big standard firewire card will do the trick.

Yeah I got a bog standard one from tekheads.co.uk, that'll do the trick for the time being.
