Default What do you think about this?

Welp, i'm gonna be editing avchd footage from my sony hdr-sr7 HiDef Hard Drive Camera. I've read alot about computers not really being able to handle editing the avchd too well once you start cutting and adding transitions.....This would be an alright set up correct??:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3R

Processor: Intel Q6600

Video Card: Evga 8800GT

Memory: 2 GB of Corsair 800mhz

Hard Drive: 2 Seagate 320GB Sata drives

Power Supply: CoolerMaster 600w

Probably planning on using Sony's software and using cuts/transitions, etc. for home movie type stuff
