Default External HDD

I'm off to Spain for a good few months as of Jan 21st. Currently I'm using a very loud 200gb external HDD to store all my videos on. I'm gonna need to back up DVDs and such before I go, so I'm looking at getting something larger.

Can anyone recommend which of these to buy, or to avoid? Cheers!

I have a LaCie external hard disk aswell and they are very good. I've had it for quite a while now and have never had any problems with it. It's the one shaped like a Lego brick. I was looking at external hard disks on the Argos website recently and came across these...

Buffalo DriveStation 500Gb 3.5in Hard Drive. 675/3533

I found the Freecom range very good aswell, again no difficulties so far.
