Default New Super Duper Video Editing Computer

Hi there,

I am an after effects, premiere and maya enthusiast.

I'm looking to make my own computer to run these three smoothly and especially

for rendering.

I'm interested in the core 2 quad processors. I was thinking of a dual processor board for these, yet i'm finding it very hard to find.

Or do you think that a normal board will do?

I am finding this starting point quite troublesome.

I look forward to any suggestions & thanks in advance.

hi there

after doing many hours of research, this is the spec i've concluded with for the momment:

motherboard: asus p5e ws professional
cpu: intel q6600
ram: corsair 2gb (will increase to 4gb)
hdd: 120gb or small one just for windows and 500gb for editing data to be stored on
psu: 600w sli ready

also if you go to youtube and type in "asus p5e, q6600 or core 2 quad," you can see

some pretty interesting video's.
