Default iMac or Macbook for Broadcast Journalism Student

Hello,

I have a budget of £800 and want to purchase a Mac for my Broadcast Journalism course.

Would you suggest a Macbook for portability, or an iMac for storage and power? I'm going to be doing a lot of audio and video editing, as well as general University work.

Thanks
James

Theres no way to answer that, Do you want portability? or Storage and power? both could handle editing. Are you planning on doing HD?

There will be no HD on my course.

I would like portability, although it wouldn't be used too often. But then at the same time I want the big screen and speed of the iMac, with an £800 budget!

Frustrating

I deleted your other thread, Please do not start 2 threads on the same subject, its rather rude to do so, if you feel you posted in the wrong forum kindly ask a Mod to move it. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Ever so sorry for the two threads. As you can see I am new and somehow managed to be 'rude' by accidentally posting twice.
