Default FCP or Avid Xpress Pro???

Hi, I am thinking of buying another computer I have decided on a budget maxium of £2000 (this excludes buying editing software), I was wondered if anyone could give me some advice,I heard that both AVID and Apple Final Cut Pro are now Industry-names but I was wondering, given the choice, which you would buy a PC (which can aid Avid) or a Mac (which can aid FCP)?

Cheers

if I had to choose I would go FCP. The only avid program you could get for that amount is liqued and its just as buggy as studio.

FCP All the way baby!

I've used AVID too but just don't get on with it. FCP's workflow is much easier, neater, and logical IMHO.
