well, it would be kind of hard to get to the chip because you'd have to open the case, take off the fan, take off the heatsink, and wipe off the thermal paste.

Just use a program like CPU-Z to find out about it.

Oh well, show's what I know about PCs eh? Just as well I'm having it built and not doing it myself eh?

Right then, more when it gets here in a couple of weeks.

Well, two kind of.

I intend to keep using the single 19" CRT i've had for ages and like. It's runnign at 1600x1200 so plenty of space. Yesterday, after having done lots of installing I finally got around to pluggng the break-out box into the RT.x card and now have a TV plugged in as well. So that's two - kind of.

I was surprised to see a little digital-2-analogue gizmo in with the PC though, so I can plug a second analogue monitor into the graphics card when I fancy trying it.

DDR2-New form of memory that allows for higher speeds....So far from ive seen the timings are shite AS OF YET. This is a main reason why RAM prices have been jacked up lately...all the machines are making II

PCI EXPRESS-This is a replacement to AGP. Its a modified PCI Slot that has much quicker speed/bandwidth. I dont think itll last because PCI cards share a bus. Do they have a fix so slower PCI cards dont slow down the VGA?

BTX Form Factor
-New Form factor being pushed by Intel....Looks pretty damn pointless...They claim better temps but really its not gonna do anything....

Ill include some other new techs as well:

Dothan
-New Intel CPU coming out eventually...Basically uses the same architecture as the Pentium M(aka centrino). Uses an efficient architecture rather than a high clock speed(Amd tells Intel, "Told ya so")

Socket 939
- Replacement socket for the AMD FX series of their 64bit line. It will not need Registered ram

Socket T-One use piece of shit new Intel socket. YOu can only use it once before it is ruined!!!!

DDR3-Use ur iomagination

A new form of SATA-Speeds higher than 300mb/s

Neforce 3 250-New AMD 64 chipset that allows for PCI/AGP Lock

ASk some more and i can explain
