Default Uncompresed Capture

Help
Can someone give advice on digi beta.
I dont know if the standard HDD on G5 will manage to capture from digibeta source through AJA IO without compressing or do I need the expensive SCSI HDD .

G5 dual 2ghz
4GB RAm etc etc
