In the next week to 10 days I will order my new PC.
These are the parts I have chosen at this point.
Anyone see critical mistakes in my choices ?

Any input appreciated.

First thoughts....

1) You'll need another hard drive. For video we typically have the OS and s/w on one drive (say around 60Gb) and keep a big drive 300Gb+ for video.

2) You don't need to spend $350 on a graphics card for editting video. If it's going to sub as a game machine then maybe.

3) I've no idea what a 'Gaming-Grade' optical mouse is. I suspect it's OTT for video editting.

4) 1Gb RAM (of whatever sort) is the min you should consider for video editting. 2Gb+ is better and you'll see the difference.

5) You made no mention here of s/w. Good editting s/w does come at a price (often as mujch as the rig itself) so be careful to budget for it also.
